Nikon Accessories
Part of the fun in shopping for cameras has been the accessories that come with them. It's not uncommon to snag a lens or some other piece of vintage equipment with one of these cameras. This page is a showcase for those accessories, as well as other tidbits picked up along the way.

Eveready Cases Each camera type seems to have had its own eveready case. Many of my purchases have come with at least part of one of these cases. There appear to be eveready cases for Nikon, Nikkormat and Nikomat models. Here's what I've accumulated to date:
Nikkormat Case (CF-4 Semi-soft case) c. 1965 Eveready case for Nikkormat FTn with normal, wide angle (except 15f/5.6), or 85f/1.8 lens. |
Nikon Case (Type 3) This case arrived with my Nikon F. It is in very good shape, considering it is more than 40 years old. According to de Stoutz, this is the 3rd variety of Nikon eveready case, in brown. A black case was also produced. |
Nikomat Case This case was purchased with a black Nikomat FTn (3828852), and was probably produced in 1968 or 1969. I've not seen documentation of differing types of Nikkormat/Nikomat cases, so there may be other varieties out there. |

Body and Lens Caps Nikon guru Richard de Stoutz documents many types of body and lens caps at his website. I've managed to collect several type of each cap along the way. Here's what I've found:
Nippon Kogaku Body Cap This is cap Type 1 on the de Stoutz scale, and was purchased separately from Columbus Camera in Ohio. This type of cap was used on Nikon and Nikkormat cameras from 1959 to 1968. |
Nikon Body Cap BF-1 This is cap Type 3 on the de Stoutz scale, and I have no idea where it came from. It was made from 1976 to 1986. |
