Varieties (1959 to 1979)
There are at least eight types of mechanical Nikons I am seeking to collect. They are listed down the side of this page. Of these eight types, there are at least 28 varieties. The first type, the Nikon F, was originally produced in 1959. The Nikon F was followed by the Nikkorex F (1962), and then the highly successful line of Nikkormats and Nikomats (1965 to 1979). Specializing in the Nikon F series is a very time consuming, and potentially very expensive, venture. There are not as many varieties of Nikkormats, and, frankly, they are generally less expensive than the F series. Still, they are well built machines, and quite beautiful to me.
The varieties of Nikon/Nikkorex/Nikkormat/Nikomat I am seeking are: (Bold indicates I have found an example - I'll add photos as I get them.)
